I’ve been a halo fan since the beginning of the series and had high expectations for Halo 3 prior to launch. I’m happy to say that halo 3 have met and in some way even exceeded my expectations. Halo 3 has a solid campaign which is fun to play with a friend. When completed you will still come back to complete it again at a higher difficulty as I have done (mainly for the awesome armour). The campaign is exactly what is expected from a halo fan, plenty of fire fights and explosives but the campaign felt a little short and their seemed to be allot of useless traveling back to locations that were already cleared to only find that the covenant had reappeared without an explanation which brings me to the story. The story was somewhat boring for me, I’m a big sci-fi fan and believe in a good story should accompany good game play. I’m not saying the story was bad I’m just saying it was dull and seemed borrowed. But what halo 3 lost in its plot made up for in its multiplayer. What really surprised me was the multiplayer; I couldn’t possibly think of a way budgie would be able to improve on its multiplayer prior to release but then I was blown away by the new forge editor which allows players to customize levels, the armour which looks awesome and the amazing new levels. Halo 3 is a fantastic game and I’m looking forward to more games from Bungie.
