Halo 3 is far from ambitious, but that doesn't mean I don't enjoy it. Essentially this is an update of Halo 2, and even Official XBOX Magazine says it is like Halo 2 with HD graphics. Again is that bad? Not really, but everyone is giving this game perfects, and such high scores, I just can't believe it. Gears of War was something new, I love Sony but that game (gears) made me play my 360 everyday while my PS3 collected dust... Halo 3 is not doing that for me. In fact I went back and played through Resistance again before beating Halo 3, because well, because I needed to refresh my pallet, kill something I hadn't killed 6 years ago on the first XBOX. I'm sorry, Halo 3 is a good game, but it's not great, flame me if you want, but that's my opinion.
