An above average shooter with great multiplayer aspects.
My feeling towards the first of those factors is that with most of the array of weapons i get my metalic little hands on, only a few of them have sights on them that allow accurate aim. Therefore it often feels like im shooting little blobs from a mile away with no real sense of impact. Before you ask, i'm not slightly blind and i have a nice big flashy HD TV to play the game on.
The maps in the campaign are 'ok' but with a few old-skool flaws that, in this generation of game, i thought we'd resolved. Falling into water only to find that you cant swim is irritating at best. Finding that the only way out of the water is to jump and hope you find some platform low enough to get to is infuriating and screams of bad level design. Often during the missions you are left with no clear way to go and it's assumed you'll just know how to get to 'docking bay 42' or wherever. i'm aware that there are maps etc but any decent FPS usually doesnt require for you to have to rely on these tools.
Overall i found the game to be fun and playable though i very much doubt that i'd find a reason to play the campaign more than once. Multiplayer has really been the heart of the franchise i suppose but i feel that this game has too much competition in that field to justify wearing the crown-title for very long.
