Halo 3 looks like Halo 2.5 at the first glimpse, but this is only because your eyes are playing tricks on you. First off, the graphics have tuned up with HD picture and sound. Characters look more polished and textured compared to H2. Background enviroments are the most stunning however! I will be honest though, the visuals should have been turned up a notch ,since this is supposedly the last game of the triology. Gears of War has proven that the 360 has the muscle to make triology-ending games spectacular. (and that game was released a year ago) Gears of War's visuals are still more superior between the two, but Gears' graphics are the best of any game on the 360, period. Regardless, you wont be that dissapointed with it ,with this fast-action shooter. The weaponry HAS however stepped it up with some new weapons that are amazing. You will probably fall in love with the HAMMER. The vast spread of weapons and swapping them will cease to getting you bored. The storyline of the game is very enjyable and it also fills in the holes from H2 in a very classy --so now you can have CLOSURE! Ok, so that's offline content, let's get to the online goodness. H3 controlls play alot like H2 but the CORE substance I talked about in my header, is the online substance. Forge is a game where you can go into a map and move things around to your liking. You will NEVER get the same game with this feature. Put weapons, vehicles, hide-behinds, etc. wherever, whenever, and play this game with others as well as they can do the same too. Online gaming /maps just got more creative.! Only a person's imagination can limit the weird , fun stuff you will see when you play these customized maps. Another awesome game feature is the playback you can do of the most recent 25 games you played online. Snipe someone with a headshot? Want to brag about it to friends? No prob. just record it send it to them so they can see it. Freeze a situation in the match and look at it from different camera angles and see different perspectives. This tool could have the potential for hard-core players to review their mistakes by rewinding them and learning how to perfect them for future kills that were once lost out . Want to drop tanks on players? Forge can do that too. COop for the campaign is available for 4 players at one time. That can be real fun watching people interact and talk smack to AI characters or watch them cut up with you as if you were still 12yrs old and had pals at your sleep over all playing at the same time except, they're at their own homes this time! The only negative thing I have is that AI driving absolutely SUCKS! If you want to ride shotgun and get your head blown off, then go right ahead , because these guys must be wearing their helmets over their eyes! (Maybe they're ex- NASACAR drivers because they love to run in circles). If want to get the job done, then you'd might as well do it yourself with the vehicles. Otherwise, Halo 3 is worth more than $60. This game will last for as long as people make the party. And we all know Halo 3 will be one hell of a party.
