Master Chief, are those keys to a Warthog in your cod piece or are you just happy to see me?
Yes, the graphics are pretty darn good, but not the best. Yes, the story is quite compelling, but it does not elicit anything that comes close to "oh my god, Andrew Ryan is _________" (no Bioshock spoilers here, folks). The gameplay is certainly top-notch. The only thing tighter than Halo 3 gameplay is something I can't mention in this review without getting in trouble from some pesky moderator (just joking, fellas. I love ya). I can honestly see myself playing through the campaign numerous times, which is something I rarely do. Even multiplayer is ridiculously fun, regardless of how often I get "pwned" by some kid staying up past his bedtime. The new Equipment feature and the feature that records movies of previous matches add a lot more to my enjoyment of the game than I first thought they would.
Unlike some other fans of the Halo series, I'm totally cool with people not liking Halo 3. Also, I personally don't care how many copies the game sells because I don't own shares of Microsoft, and I don't need some type of record breaking sales report to validate how much I enjoy this game. I'm just happy that Bungie made a great game that I can enjoy for a very long time.
