Halo 3 is continuing the formula with new additions; keeping it clean and fresh for the next generation in gaming.

With all these years gone by, Bungie has been working on the formula for a great game. And without a doubt, they succeeded. Halo 3 not only has what it’s predecessors left off for it but it adds a lot more replay ability, a new campaign, and a lot of new features that will keep you busy for a long time.

Campaign was very enjoyable. The game really evolved into something even more amazing than the older games could. From destroying scarabs to killing the flood, the whole experience is a great one. The story for the Halo series isn’t always the easiest to follow but when you finally understand it you will be pleased. The story, though, should have been a bit more fleshed out, easier to follow to begin with.

The game offers up a lot of diverse new weapons, some old ones remade, and even new vehicles to keep you at the top of your game. The new design for weapons and vehicles is truly next gen. It’s pretty to look at and awesome to use.

As much as the Campaign and the new additions are extraordinary, the thing that always made Halo shine was multiplayer; matchmaking. Halo 3 not only revamps the matchmaking but it simplifies it, making it a lot easier to manage. And not to mention co-op play with friends, both Campaign and Multiplayer. So to sum it up, online for Halo 3 has never been better.

Now the newest features Halo 3 gives are the Forge and the Theatre. The forge is used to customize your own maps. On the sad note, you make only customize the weapon and object placements and not the map in general. Still it is very fun, especially with friends. In forge, to place items you can turn into a monitor. When you’re a monitor you can fly and you have the ability to pick up items/weapons and drop them. You may also delete items and pop new ones in. One of the things forge does to make it balanced is a budget. This budget stops you from flooding the map and allows you to put certain about of things on the map.

Forge is a very fun feature and should be checked out by everyone who owns Halo 3. Now the theater is very innovative. Each time you play a match; you can go to theater and choose to save the video for the match. You can replay matches, take screenshots and more. These videos also save for Campaign, very nice feature.

Finally, Halo 3 is an amazing game with a lot to offer and so much replay value you’ll be glued to your television for days.
