User Rating: 9.5 | Halo 3 X360
The Day has arrived. September 25th, 2007 will be forever known as the Release Date of Bungie's greatest creation. Halo 3. The game starts off with one of the most eye-pleasing cut scenes ever. The graphics are simply the best the 360 has to offer, feeling less like a first-person shooter and more like actually looking through Master Chief's MJOLNIR Mark VI helmet. The game play is simply the best of any first-person shooter, with realistic physics, leading to funny situations. The guns are also a key part of Halo 3. Bungie made many changes to the guns in Halo 3. The return of the classic Assault Rifle, the changing of the Magnum and Battle Rifles, and the new ones. The Brute Spikers, Spartan Laser, Gravity Hammer and the new carry able Turrets make blasting the Covenant all the more satisfying. The sound is the most realistic sounding I have heard. Ever. The gun firing sounds so sweet, the explosions feel real. Even the engines revving of the vehicles not only imitate life, they seem to set the standard, and sometimes, it feels like life fails to step up. The plot is fluid, refined, and fills all the burning questions that Halo 2 left behind when it ended. Then there's Online. The multi-player in Halo 3 is THE ALPHA DOG of all online shooters. The menus are so easy to navigate, a 4-year old could do it. The frame-rate seamlessly moves from one glorious HD image to the next, while not diminishing any of your destructive acts. The games are fast-paced and cutthroat, telling you the goal, and letting you (and your team) to decide in which explosive way you accomplish it. Bottom line: If you didn't love this game, move your mouse to the 'X' on the top right-hand corner of the window and click, 'cause you're simply on the wrong website.
