What can you say? It's just the perfect game for me... and millions. Bungie has once again made a masterpiece.
Killjoy = Bad stuff
Gameplay
Slayer: Still the classic gameplay that millions have grown to love... and more; great choices of weapons, strategy, movement, everything that a first person shooter should offer; a lot better multiplayer than the last two halos combined
Killjoy: ...
Graphics
Slayer: Much more shinier; amazing explosions; amazing character models; amazing FMV sequences; amazing gun models; amazing backgrounds; amazing terrain; amazing everything
Killjoy: Amazing that it looks like this and it's reported that this game runs at 640p. I don't care!
Story
Slayer: In depth story provides more closure to the trilogy... if it is the end... (?)
Killjoy: Sometimes wasn't interested in the marines cutscenes, especially Lord Hood
Sound
Slayer: Classic sounds plus more realistic sounds which make it sound a lot like a sci-fi war; awesome voice acting by a stellar cast
Killjoy: If you don't know how to mute someone, you'll hear those annoying little kids that are better than you in Halo
Control
Slayer: Easy to pick up controls; new controls to master and easier to use than the previous halos; great reloading buttons
Killjoy: Still adjusting from Halo 2's controls, including pressing the X button
Overall
It's an awesome game, definitely becoming my favorite game of all time. The game is very well balanced, with lots of achievements, unlockables, difficulties, modes, multiplayer options, the Forge, theater mode, and many more just to make this game last in a great value! It was a neat idea to keep the game in the helmet for those that got the Legendary edition. The DVDs are packed with great, professional content. It's been argued that this game was a been there, done that. But, honestly, this game.... iono it's just this game. It's absolutely fun and will keep you going even if you think you feel like it's been recycled content. It's really not. Trust me. This is a phenomenon. This is a franchise. This is amazing. This is Halo 3.
