An alright game, until it's finished.

Halo 3 is a great game. Until it's finished. The campaign is brilliant fun the first time it's played through, and you face a wide variety of enemies including the Flood, and all the different Covenant, and even several Scarabs. But once you've finished the game, there is little or no incentive to replay it unless you want the achievements for completing it on a higher difficulty or getting the skulls. This is really because of the fact that once you get to the final levels of the game, I found there is almost no drive to carry it on, as you just get lost in the huge level where everything looks the same. You can have some fun with the campaign by bringing in a friend and trying to see who kills more enemies, but otherwise you should play through it once, and then forget about it unless you want that extra gamerscore. The multiplayer is the saving grace of Halo 3. Playing online or system linked with mates is a complete barrel of laughs, no matter which of the many levels you play with you are guaranteed to have fun. Until you start getting owned by the weirdos who play it too much. If you can just ride through the waves of hate that I experience when you're constantly sniped though, then you might get the chance to stick someone with a plasma grenade, which makes up for it. You can even edit the maps by adding loads of different kinds of terrain and cover, which can mean a random warthog, to falling fusion cores.
All in all, I found it a bit disappointing considering all the hype, but the multiplayer helps to prolong the experience.
