Compared to the hype, Halo 3 flat lined. Of course, no game could live up to what everyone was saying about Halo 3. Definitely a solid shooter through and through, but it did have a few let-downs when i first played split-screen. No dual-wielding energy swords, and no pelicans. Cant say I'm surprised though, even the best couldn't pull that many rumors together and put them in the game. I didn't get a chance to play story mode much (I don't actually own a 360) but it felt much more difficult in the first few levels than halo 2 did (I do own a regular Xbox). Multiplayer is amazing, but what else is new, especially with the addition of the gravity hammer which can make for some intense game modes. The elephant (a giant mobile base) makes for some fun too in my new favorite map: sandstorm. Halo 3 isn't as good as halo 2 but if you enjoy any amount of quality multiplayer, and you have a 360, then buy this game now. P.S. Go for the sixty dollar version, bonus content in the others is available on youtube.
