Yay Halo 3!!! Everyone get ridiculously over obsessed and spend disgusting amounts of your time killing things! Lets be Honest here, Halo is one of the more overrated game series out there. Or is it? I recently got an Xbox 360 and decided I should give Halo 3 a try. I had enjoyed Halo: Combat Evolved on the PC well enough, and Halo 2 Lan parties at friend's houses rarely got old. There truly is something about Halo 3 that sets it apart from all the other games I've played. Its just somehow more fun than everything else. It's something I can't even describe. Is it the lush beautiful environments of the single player levels and multiplayer maps? Is it the ever perfect art design of the Spartans and Elites and their weapons? Is it the rock solid enemy AI in the single player campaign, the beautifully told story, the gorgeously orchestrated score or just the fact that its fun to tear apart everything that moves? The answer is, all of the above. All of the elements of Halo 3 come together to make it one hell of a game, outdoing both Halo and Halo 2. Gameplay- 9
The gameplay isn't much changed much from the previous games, but thats not necessarily a bad thing, it's still fun as hell, and somehow feels new and fresh in the new setting. The new power-ups and items are very fun and pretty useful, especially in Multiplayer modes such as King of the Hill. Graphics- 9
For Next-gen graphics, I was a little dissapointed by Halo 3, It looks terrific compared to Halo 2, but its not quite up to my standard (Heavenly Sword, Gears of War) for next gen. The one thing that saves it is the absolutely gorgeous artwork. Each area is breathtaking and new, even if it sometimes looks a bit flatter than it should

Sound- 10 Not much to say here, other than everything sounds amazing. Possibly the most amazing part of this game is the music. There are only a few different tunes, but each one is more beautiful and befitting of the game as the last. Value- 9 Lets be honest, the Singleplayer is short, but fortunately there are lots of different difficulty levels, which makes each time through the game on different settings feel like a different game. The multiplayer is still ridiculously fun, and only gets old when its been played for hours and hours without stopping. Forge is fun, but sometimes gets just ridiculous but when that happens it doesn't feel ridiculous enough because of the budget cap, but its still a fun addition. Tilt- 10 This game is just downright fun, and it never gets old. Everything comes together perfectly, and makes Halo 3 the best first person shooter that I've ever played. This is game not to miss, whether or not you were a fan of the Halo Series before this, and an absolute must have for anyone that had even a passing interest in the Previous games. Now go out and get the game, and start slaughtering the covenant! *Note: Gamespot changed their bloody rating system and Apparently i can only give games a _.0 or _.5 rating now... which is lame.
