You can't possibly get anymore out of your money. Neither we nor our money are worthy!!
Just like Halo 2 before it, the game continues right where we left of. Master Chief crashes down on earth after having defeated the second prophet. You continue the fight against the covenants and the flood, and you'll eventually finish it in a breathtaking finale. The story is almost perfectly told. The first 6 missions (7 including the prologue) are perfect. I don't feel they could have been any better. They are a lot of fun to play and feel as smooth as silk. Finely tuned to perfection, not trying to blaze your brains out with more action than ever. The last missions of the game can feel kinda rushed out to launch, and are kinda tedious here and there, but then I'm being harsh.
The graphics are very good. They are undoubtedly the worst part of Halo 3, but they aren't bad by any means. They never bothered nor disappointed me, but they're not as good as what we saw in titles like Gears of War. Bungie has stated that they never wanted it to be photo realistic, cause they wanted it to still look like a part of the Halo series, and not break out of what we saw in the previous titles. Having said that, the artistic design is awesome. You're much more likely to be amazed by the graphics, than disappointed.
The place where Halo beats out all competition though is in sound. The sound effects, voice acting and music are all above its competition. From reloading your weapon to blowing up a ghost everything sounds amazingly solid and realistic. The voice acting is also fantastic. There are a bunch of dialogue both during combat and in the games many cut-scenes. There are numerous hilarious sayings from your comrades and covenant enemies that'll be quoted by fans and fanatics. The music is once again completely of the charts. You think you've heard epic music until Halo comes along and just beats out everything else. The music interacts with what's happening in the game, which means it'll speed up and rock more when there's action and so on. You'll hear drum beats just jamming in the background and instruments joining in while playing, and it's so well done you'll start to wonder what other game developers are fumbling with!
Halo 3 is a huge game, and there are a ton of things to do. The campaign may not be particularly long. But you'll play it at least twice, once alone and once together with up to three friends online. You'll collect skulls that'll change how you play throughout the campaign, and try to beat the high score in every chapter. And you'll most definitely play a lot of multiplayer online. There are a ton of game modes, and the ability to save replays and screenshots and share online is great, and mixing up your own map in Forge mode is a lot of fun. The conclusion is that this is a must buy for everyone that likes videogames, and it's a fantastic ending to the Halo trilogy.
