User Rating: 9.5 | Halo 3 X360
Halo 3 is possibly the most hyped game of the decade, and although it isn't the best it could possibly be, it hits the mark in nearly every aspect.

The Campaign is as you'd expect, well thought out, epic, and all round awesome and offers much replayability thanks to the return of skulls and the addition of Campaign Scoring.

The story is excellent and really gives you the sense that this is it for humanity. Earth is falling and there's MC wack in the thick of it saving everybody around him. Through the campaign you'll get to see bueatiful landscapes, from thick Jungles, Snowcapped mountains, sand dunes and monolithic Forerunner structures.

The gameplay is fast paced non stop action taking place on foot and in vehicles such as tanks, hornets (flying death) and warthogs.

There is a large selection of weapons at your disposal ranging from HUGE F******* LAZERS to the average Pistol.

The audio is terrific, to create sounds from other galaxies (Plasma weapons, space ships etc) is no mean feat but bungie pull it of once more and it's better than ever.

Forge is the stand out new adition to Halo 3, this map editor at first seems plain and you might even think you'll never use it, but trust me you will! Thanks to Halo's large fan base the amount of community content is mind boggling. And you can easily get lost looking at, playing and creating in forge mode forgetting entirley about Campaign and Matchmaking.

Multiplayer makes Halo 3 just like it did with Halo 2. You can play with a group of buddies in custom games or Forge or go into Match Making and fight to the death in over 20 maps. The only let down to Halo 3's online multiplayer feature is the ammount of network difficulties, such as Lagg, Disconnections, etc. And although most of the time this is due to a players fault with their hardware, comparing it to the crystal clear connection system of Far Cry 2 is embarrasing. (At least for me)

None the less Multiplayer is useually a largely enjoyable experience that has made the franchise into a household name. And the reason why even a year later it still gets around 700,000 players logging on every day.

Also the support bungie gives to the community and the great features on bungie.net is an absolutely astonoshing achievment.
