A non-biased Halo 3 Review, read the review before you decide im wrong.
Graphics- The Graphics are nothing cutting edge, they are just glossed up,smoothed xbox 1 graphics. The graphics are too close to halo 2, and Gears of War looks much better and spent less time in the making. The RAG-DOLL EFFECTS ARE TERRIBLE.Its like they wanted to do rag doll but they did a half canned reaction because they got lazy, i have never been more dissapointed watching myself die. Your character will go into a canned reaction ,then for a split second you will see it jump into a rag doll. The rag doll is stiff and ugly anyway you look at it, and most of the time he wont even ragdoll, but just lay down straight after a split second of rag doll. The rag doll often gets caught on things which is just ugly. Overall dissapointing rag doll.
Story- The story is complete garbage, when i thought the Chief died i liked it better. It was far more epic then hes strange return at the end which made no sense to me. The story is ok but its not drivin by anything, no passion or anger or anything. Its just killing aliens to save the world, will someone tell bungie how may people have already done that? Overall a bad story, mediocre if u pretend he dies.
Xbox Live- I hate matchmaking period i just wish people could open up matches and you could just look at a list of open ones and choose which one you want to join, regardless of what it is. Online gives you very little options and no matter what gametype you play, you will always just be killing people. Its ok overall.
Additions- The forge is beyond bad, has anyone played Farcry? Well that system is easy. This is difficult, objects move to fast or too slow and always just fall over when you are trying to build a nice tower or something, its like they added it just to say that "you can customize maps". The new armors are cool, but its bad because if i go to my friends house i cant use them, even if he has them. Why you ask? cause it only unlocks them for one gamer profile. So no matter where u go your in ugly starter armor, unless your home.watching recorded movies is fun but, could be simpilar, controls feel slightly rushed.
Music-The music is THE ONLY well done part, i love the music and however bad the story is it makes it feel more epic. The music is just great.
Final Verdict-
Halo does nothing that any FPS hasnt done before, and like the past 2 halo games all you do is kill aliens. Dont believe the hype, there are better shooters. The only way it sells is because it says "Halo,Microsoft, and Bungie" on the box. The music is the only really good thing, and my drink coaster is now 3 games high instead of 2, thanks Halo!
