Solid shooter with snappy fps and great multiplayer additions.

Halo 3 really was a great game for the xbox 360 console. The first halo was a truly awe inspiring experience and though a traditional ideal of the first person shooter the slickness and presentation of the game was truly commendable.

Halo 2 was a bit of a disappointment and people who I have spoken to about it griped that there wasn't enough on earth's surface action and felt like they were duped in to buying it.

Halo 3 was really quite astounding in terms of storyline and again like Halo 1 slickness and presentation. Thankfully not suffering from any major Frames Per Second lag or glitches with fast paced action and varied weaponry/vehicles coupled with truly epic outdoor battles with Scarabs...it really did offer a treat for anyone who chose to play.

However the levels with the Gravemind did seem a bit too much of an endurance test rather than an experience...it also seemed to borrow a lot from it's first outing with familiar situations such as beach landings and plumbing the depths of library-esque installations.

The Multiplayer though my experience only brief it was fast, frenzied and very entertaining! I didn't feel like I was getting owned by l33t d00ds at every turn at choke points and as soon as I was dropped to the floor I was back in the fray with my buddies. Some modes were ridiculous such as Halo's take on an insta-gib battle with rocket launchers littered everywhere. That was just bland in my personal opinion but it wasn't the games fault to be frank, it was my own personal taste.

Overall a terribly entertaining game with a involving storyline, furious fighting and epic scale of things...also the ending is sweet! Minor shortcomings do little to subtract from this games brilliance.
