If you were disappointed with the way Halo 2 had ended, then you probably can not wait to find out how all those loose ends tie up.
What happens to Cortana who was left behind with Gravemind, the leader of the flood?
Why did the prophet Truth return to earth after activating the long dormant halos? And how is the Covenant doing now that the Elites have gone AWOL with brutes taking over as the main military force within the whole organization? All of these questions and much more get answered during the course of Halo 3, along with some questions that you might of had.

Overall I can say that the story is satisfying, especially the ending. Comparing this game to Halo 2 there re fewer cut scenes, but it still delivers high quality drama complete with cheesy 'one-liners'. What dissapoints me is that if you want to really enjoy the story of Halo 3, a good understanding of Halo 1 and 2 is a MUST.

Halo 3 is not perfect, on the PC where there is an abundance of fantastic FPS games, it would not be nearly as praised. Halo 3 is still one of the best shooters released in 2007 on any platform, and it is also the most cinematic experience you will get from the moment you start playing the game to the time you finish it about 7 hours later (Singleplayer on Normal difficulty).

Don't forget how huge the multiplayer is bound to get, with hundreds of thousands playing Halo 3 just a couple days after the release.

GAMEPLAY - 9.0
Its not revolutionary, but more of a refined evolution of the Halo series. If you liked Halo 1 and 2, your going to love this one!

GRAPHICS - 8.5
Its not a showcase, but it looks decent. Very realistic lighting.

AUDIO - 9.6
The soundtrack is a complete masterpiece once again, and the rest of the audio does not lag behind.

VALUE - 9.1
It takes around 7-8 hours to complete the campaign, but with 4 player competitive/cooperative modes and different difficulties you will easily spend well over 18 hours with it.

MULTIPLAYER - 9.0
The multiplayer aspect is literally unlimited, matchmaking, custom maps and more are available right out of the box.

OVERALL - 9.1
Numbers never lie, so Halo 3 must be one of the biggest games of all time.
