Bitter-Sweet farewell...

User Rating: 10 | Halo 3 X360
The only bad thing about the game is that its the end of the series (and its a little short on the campaign). The story draws to a logical conclusion that brings in all the characters from the first two games. The ending came on abruptly though, and leaves at least some room for doubt as to the Master Chief's final destiny.

Gameplay was smooth and fun, and the introduction of the various specialized grenades added to new variable (to both single and muti-player) that kept the gameplay fresh and fun.

The campaign had levels that were very challenging (the flood mothership was full of enemies everywhere) especially at the more difficult settings. The only real detractor for the game was the short length of the campaign, but the myriad multiplayer options more than make up for that.

Halo 3's multiplayer play is definitely the best part of the game and will definitely be the game to play on Xbox Live for quite a while. The maps are large and diverse, the weapons balanced and the matchmaking interface easy to use and fairly quick at finding games.

Overall, one of the best games ever for a console, not a rent...but it!
