Definitely lives up to the hype.

Probably one of the greatest games this year, Halo 3 has surpassed Halo 2. Sure Halo 2 had a solid campaign but the ending was bad and it felt too short. Halo 3 kicks off immediately after Halo 3 where the Chief has landed back on Earth. The Elites have joined the Humans now and fight alongside you. Nice. Also now there is 4 player co-op, with 2 players on splitscreen but 4 on system link and Xbox Live. Very nice. The campaign is well designed, especially the Flood levels which are very good. It's just a shame that it's kinda easy to beat the game on Legendary on co-op but by yourself, it could take a while. The multiplayer is really balanced now with the addition of the Assault Rifle in Halo 3 and the weapon exploits found in Halo 2 are now gone. For now. Halo 3 has a array of gametypes including VIP, Infection (Bungie's version of Zombies) and of course Slayer. VIP, Assault and CTF really are gametypes people wouldn't want to play in matchmaking so with the veto system you can veto a gametype and map that you don't really like (For example: Territories on Last Resort). As a Halo fan all my life, I am very good on Halo 3 and as of this review, I am currently a 36 in Team Slayer. So overall Halo 3 is magnificent and is a fitting conclusion to one of the most epic game series out there.
