Same ole, same ole.

User Rating: 7 | Halo 3 X360
I'll make this review quick. If and when you read the 9 to 10 game scores for Halo3, they are more grading and ranking it because of the brand of Halo, than the actual game itself. By no means am I'm going sugar coat it; the graphics is standard Xbox360, so there is nothing impressive so it entices you to buy it new. Not saying the graphics are not good; they are just standard and something we've come to accept; hence, no real big surprises. This also goes with sound, game control, and multiplayer. In all actuality, the game is Halo2 glossed up and retouched with a continuation of a narrative. Hence, the game offers nothing new or exciting to games in general and still doesn't reach the excitement of the original. In sum, you'll certainly feel like you've played the game before and wondering why you spent 60 or more dollars.

With that being said, the game does offer some new weaponry, which is impressive at first, but quickly dies down. As a typical first person shooter, you'll run and gun your way; that's always fun for mindless entertainment, but you certainly won't be cognitively challenged. In my experience, there were very few glitches and therefore the game flowed evenly and cleanly; that's always a plus. Some new big enemies are fun to destroy, but again feels like you've done it before. In all, the game is fun, a buyer to have in your collection and talk to your friends about; other than that though, the game is everything you've experienced before; so if you like the tried and true, then sure get it. If you enjoy playing games that offers a verity, then don't expect it here; just play Halo again.
