The conclusion is here and the results are in. Fun game-play, loads of action, but sadly, nothing new.
-The epic conclusion to Bungie's well received trilogy is finally here and as Master Chief and the Arbiter trudge on the player will finally, "finish the fight."
Complaints:
-Though the game was very interesting and I very much enjoyed the story, I felt the game play was somewhat repetitive. But this is perhaps the Achilles heel of any first person shooter. The way in which you play the game from beginning to end is relatively unchanging and can become draggy at times, but this is really my only complaint for the game and that being said suggests the great value of the single player.
The online game play however, is more a matter of personal taste making it hard to be subjective about something players revered a great while playing, but now claim to be terrible as they crusade through the ranks of Call of Duty 4.
Efforts to be Applauded:
-The landscapes were beautifully rendered and the overall graphic quality of the game was incredible. The fight held almost a feeling of reality as you tore through Covenant and Flood forces to reach your next objective or accomplish your next mission. The game play was fluid and with no noticeable glitches. The addition of the skull collecting made for an interesting easter egg hunt for the player while fighting off countless enemies. Bungie definitely sealed the deal with this third installment and I look forward to future games from the developers that worked on this project.
Overall Review:
-Great game that is definitely worth purchasing for the single-player if nothing else.
