Halo 3 is a great FPS that you can't help but like
Lets start with the good of Halo 3. It has a compelling story that keeps you wondering how its going to wrap up. The controls are the basic controls that you would find in a normal basic FPS now-a-days. The New Weapons and gadgets that you can pick up and use adds greatly to the depth of the campaign and multi-player. And customizable Spartans and Elites is pretty neat feature.
But the part where Halo 3 shines and is the a great part to its success is its multi-player up to 16 players on-line or system link and 4 locally. There is just so much you can do in multiplayer with the addition of 2 new game types Infection, and VIP and all the options that you can customize the game types with is amazing.
Then there is this new option Forge which is an editor type option where you roam around a map you place what ever you want. Though its not like a PC type editor where it will let you build a map from the ground up. But there is endless possiblities with forge.
As good as Halo 3 is it does come with out flaws. The story can get complicated if you never played a previous Halo or don't listen closely to every word that is spoken.
The multi-player maps can get boring if you play there default versions all the time.
There is times in the game where Cortana or Gravemind will appear on your screen and speak its good the first time cause they talk about interesting stuff but when you go back to beat it on a different difficulty,on co-op, or go skull hunting. it can get pretty annoying.
As good as the AI is in Halo 3 they use there equipment in pretty stupid times. and if you play on anything but Heroic, they get predictable after awhile or on Legendary where it is frustrating to play by yourself.
Halo 3 is a great game with a lot of replay value with the skulls and plenty of achievements to keep you busy. Its a game that any Xbox 360 owner should have in their collection.
