ok i gave Halo 3 a 9.0 because it deserves it it has fantastic multiplayer, with bungie updating it all the time it doesnt get old. the few gripes i had though is i didnt play the first 2 (my fault not theirs) to understand the story so the story wasn't big with me and the single player was fun but not the greatest the multiplayer is where the party is if you know what i mean. Map packs to download ( i believe there are 4 map packs) so you will be happy with the purchase. but sooooooo many 9 year olds online makes it annoying but you could just mute them or tell em to shut up. but overall this game is great! if you havent yet picked up halo 3 still tons of people play online i mean like over 200,000 each time you get on so dont think its old its not. Trust me this will be worth you cash. but if you dont have LIVE then i wouldnt suggest buying it because you need multiplayer for full experience.
