First-off I would like to say that I had never played a Halo game before I purchased Halo 3, I just needed a good first-person shooter with a good multiplayer feature.

This game had received great reviews and bad talk among the PS3-fanboys (probably because they are jealous) so I didn't need much time to think. so when I put it in and started playing I was sold, by the great graphics and the amazing gameplay and controls.

the story is really good and it doesn't seem as a problem that I haven't played Halo 1 or 2. the voices are great, the weapon sounds are good and the soundtrack is one of the best I have ever heard.
The cutscenes in the game are really really well-made.
The Multiplayer is awesome, and when you have played you can go to the theatre and se all that you have done from every angle - I can almost use as long time watching myself as playing the actual game.

I have not really tried out forge yet, but it also seems like a great feature in the game.

all-around it is a great package all together and for the price that you can get it at nowadays its a nobrainer - get it for your Xbox360 :)
