Halo 3 = 1 week of single player story... but a fun week

Hi,

I don't review a lot of games for the site. I've got PC and XBox360 games. I played Halo on the PC and Halo 2 on XBox. I was looking forward to Halo 3 but decided to wait until I could find it for under $50. My local Costco put it out at $49.99 2 weeks ago and that's less than $50. I bought it last Friday night at about 5pm. Got home, played it off and on through the weekend and week. I was pretty surprised when I finished the single player game yesterday. I think I will enjoy playing it through again and I might play around with the online multi-player stuff if I get my XBox live gold subscription, but I was a little disappointed that it was finished so quickly. Game-play itself, along with the graphics and story line are a 10 in my opinion. The controls make sense and it's just damn fun. It only lost points for brevity. I'm glad I waited till it came down in price a bit.

  Without LIVE don't expect to get much out of Halo 3, but if you do have LIVE then it's certainly a worthwhile purchase.
