Halo 3

Totally overrated. If you want to play online, you have to put up more money for the map packs.

I gave halo 3 a shot because I was looking for a good online game. This isn't it. If you buy this, you will have to buy all of the map packs if you want to play the fun online games. There are probably two online modes that don't require the updated map packs. If I'm already spending $40 on this game, why would I want to spend more just so I can play online?

The single player mode is painfully bad. You drive around, shoot aliens, and that's pretty much it. No thought, no strategy, nothing complicated, just hope you don't die.

I don't know how this game has gotten so much hype. If you are willing to put forth the money, then it's probably worth it to play it online, just remember you must have all of the map packs - which is extra $$$$$ - to fully enjoy playing online.

But if you are looking for an online game go with call of duty or left 4 dead.

If you are looking for a good single player game go with The Orange Box.

  Without LIVE don't expect to get much out of Halo 3, but if you do have LIVE then it's certainly a worthwhile purchase.
