A visual masterpiece. A short but sweet campaign. Wonderful composition. Flawless gameplay. Improved multiplayer.

User Rating: 8.5 | Halo 4 (Wireless Controller Bundle) X360
I bought Halo 4 with the high expectations. Probably too high. But the game somehow met my expectations. Though it didn't exceed them. And I think that's where the negative reviews come from. People psyched themselves into a mindset where no Halo game, no matter how wonderful, could meet their expectations. Halo 4 is Halo. Anything outside of that would make it another game. When users complain the game is 'more of the same', I can't help but wonder why they bought it in the first place? You wouldn't buy Halo and expect it to be Gears. Halo 4 is more of the same. But with WAY better visuals. With guns that actually feel and act real. (As real as fictional weapons can be). With a story that has great depth. An AI that has been improved upon. With new enemies which are a GREAT addition to the series. An improved multiplayer setup with evenly created maps, with endless customization. The best Forge yet. And Spartan Ops and its unique way of keeping the story going.

The only things I can see that can improve Halo 4 are more Marine/Covenant/Promethian combat in a large scale areas during the campaign. Giving grenades their power back. Making it more sandbox/less linear. Bringing back the dark, creepy moments. (Like when fighting the flood in previous Halos) Have more night/dark areas to have firefights (my personal preference). Bringing back firefight. Creating a longer campaign (Without making it repetitive). These do not detract from the game tho. But if they were included, I personally, would give the game a 10/10.

If you played Halo CE, don't expect to feel the same way you did when that game came out. It's not going to have that shock and awe we all experienced when that game was released. That's because we never had a game like that before. This is the same game. Just much improved. Whether you're new to the series or a Halo fanatic, you'll love this game. If you base this game on your first Halo experience and expect it to surpass that feeling, it won't. If you see this as another chance to play that same amazing game with many, many improvements, then you'll be satisfied. Guaranteed.
