This game was the most surprising that I have played this year in that I went in expecting the same Halo style and story I have seen many times from Halo 2 through Reach. Not even the same. It's actually really refreshing. The new story behind the Forerunners and their true motives is a great direction for the series that has relied on the Covenant and Flood. Not only that the chemistry between Master chief and Cortana is great now that the chief speaks more often. He has a personality to him now rather than just being a one liner soldier. Another great part of this game is the variety of weapons, vehicles, and environments in the campaign and multiplayer. The level of details is better that that of Reach as well with a new composer that brings a new style of soundtrack that is on par with the original soundtracks. Overall I really liked the direction of the campaign and really am curious as to what will happen next in this new Reclaimer Series.
