I finally played Halo five years after release. It is now my favorite shooter of all time. Why? The gameplay, the atmosphere and the sound. The score is amazing! The vibe of the game is pure sci-fi, real sci-fi, the kind I grew up on and loved. The gameplay is tight. I use to stick my nose up and console FPS's but not anymore. Halo showed me it can be done. It would of been cool too learn more about the universe and charachters but I'm sure I will learn more in Halo 2 and 3. The only rough spots included sometimes bland and repetitive graphics. I also was a bit bummed out by some of the required backtracking.
