Easily the greatest FPS ever

User Rating: 10 | Halo (Xbox Collection) XBOX
When I got my Xbox, Halo had come out and I didn't think it looked any good. It was only my History Teacher who persuaded me to get it that I realised that it is probably the best FPS ever.

You play as Master Chief, the last remaining SPARTAN, a group of genetically modified super-humans. You escape from the planet Reach that is being bombarded by an advanced alien race known as the Covenant. You travel on the Pillar of Autumn with Captain Keyes a great commander and CORTANA, a hi-tech robot when you crash land on a mysterious ring known as Halo. You have to fight back against the Covenant and accidentally unleash an enemy 10 times as worse.

The levels are massive and you have to actually go looking to find out where to go whereas every FPS before it had a preset path for you to go through. The difficulty is just right whether you want to take it easy on EASY or be a lunatic and finish it on LEGENDARY. The graphics were amazing because everything from the detail of the scales on the Elites to the beautiful background which went for as far as you could see. I had never thought that a FPS could beat Goldeneye but I was wrong. The multiplayer is still good to this day and you don't see Killzone action figures and books do you? Thinking that this is Bungie's first game is astonishing. There are plenty of weapons to choose from whether you want the traditional Assault Rifle (which is well better than the one off Halo 2) and pistol or if you want to get mixed with the sniper rifle and plasma pistol. Making decisions about which two weapons to use is an innovative idea and proves that they put a lot of effort into this game. The soundtrack is amazing and really catches the mood of the game. The main theme tune is one of my favourite songs because it is so spine tingling. When I finished it I felt like a god and I had not felt that feeling since completing Zelda and I haven't felt it since
