I am not a big fan of first person shooters. I enjoyed them back in the hey-day of Doom on the PC, but I didn't think console systems were able to duplicate that feel. Besides that, I also don't consider myself to be a hardcore gamer so I never lasted too long in those games against the cyber militia-types. All that being said, Halo is a fun game. The graphics and sound are absolutely fantastic. The world is immersive, vast and seamless. Incredible details are captured and you really feel like you're a part of this alien world. The sound, too, is unbelievable. The ambient noises help set the scene, the voices and character sounds are fluid with the gameplay and the music is top-notch. I've only played the multiplayer version once, and it was a blast. I don't think I'd survive online, but I may try it someday. It's definately intense and a whole lot of fun. If you like RPGs or first person shooters, I can't imagine why you wouldn't get this game. If you're not into that type (like me), you'll still probably like it as it's one of the most well done games I've ever seen.
