I've had Halo since it came out with Xbox and I must say it's probably one the best First-Person Shooters I've ever played. Now, Halo is a fantastic game, don't get me wrong, but it isn't the best game ever made as some people seem to think, in fact, it's far from it. As pretty much everyone knows, the game is based around the mysterious character known as the 'Master Chief' who is pretty much the only hope for mankind, blah blah blah, etc. etc. The game itself is very well done for a console FPS and it's control scheme has been mimicked by every other FPS since, as far as control goes. The game is alot easier to play than it seems, if say I were to explain it, it would sound alot harder than it is. The game is essentially run-n-gun but it couldn't do it better. It does though get a bit repetative once you begin playing the game for the 5th time through. Difficulties like Legendary will give you a run for your money, and make the game more enjoyable, or at least I thought. The games graphics are good, not the best, and certainly not the worst. I personally think Halo didn't push Xbox like it could've or should've. But, I'm not a graphics person, they are as low as the rating system goes... Halo has one of the best soundtracks to a game I've ever heard, the music is so perfectly placed in the perfect time, and it sounds fantastic to boot. The voice-overs are superb, and the game's score is perfection when the game gets tense. Guns sound great, and the grunts do as well. Though the volume of the Warhog and other vehicles are low, they are good sounds. And, multiplayer, everyone's favorite thing. Halo has the best multiplayer non-Xbox Live enabled system there is. It can be so much fun if given to the right people at the right time, and play the right thing. 16 players is great, and you're missing out if you've never had the chance to play with that many people before, it really is a sight to behold, I know 16 players has been done before, but not like Halo. The game is fantastic, but it isn't the best game ever, as I said. It's enjoyable, and the best FPS ever made, so do yourself a favor and play Halo: Combat Evolved by any means necesary.
