kinda wish i'd played this before gears of war, but i do think it gives me a unique pov. and it still holds up!!

ah the mythical halo. i played thru this a month ago for the first time. by the time i did i had beaten gears of wars over ten times, and yes i'd managed to kill raam on insane, so i was expecting the world from halo. of course the comparison was similar to playing mario 64 and then playing the original donkey kong...graphics wise anyway. and the story was well lacking...at first!

then i started to read up everything i could find on halo. pretty much i spent two days on wikipedia absorbing everything i could find. then i went back to the game. suddenly cortana, the chief, cpt keyes, guilty spark, the flood...they all just came alive suddenly! i realized the story isn't weak, it's just a starting point, and mebbe i should give this shooter a chance...then it started to happen. i'm innocently playing along and....

whoa did i just stealth kill that baddie by pistol whipping him?!

oh those hunters don't look so tough...holy $%^&*!! run away!!!

ooh a creepy swamp. soo scared, but what can they possibly throw at me n..bugs? oh please...hey they aren't stopping. holy crap there's a lot of them. what? mutants! damn they're fast!!

halo, will always surprise, and will age flawlessly. so all u veterans fear not, and why dontcha go back and give it one more playthru before -3- comes out. we don't have much time left now.
