Halo is an amazing game that offers great multiplayer options including a wonderful two player cooperative mode.

What Xbox owner doesn’t have a copy of Halo: Combat Evolved? Halo is the bread and butter of the Xbox and guess what? That bread and butter tastes pretty damn good! First, I have to say that I used to hate first person shooters. There were often jerky, boring, and basically not my cup of tea. When we first got the game I thought the odds of me getting through the first few minutes were slim. But that changed once I started shooting up Elites, Grunts, and everything in between. Second, Halo offers a cooperative multiplayer mode that adds to the gameplay fun. I am the type of person who dislikes playing against people and instead opt for comradery. If co-op isn’t your thing you can play against other players in various multiplayer arena/maps. I liked that you could customize each game type depending on your likes and dislikes. I tend to play Halo with my hubby via the co-op mode on the Legendary/Extreme setting. There are other game difficulty settings so everyone should be able to find their niche easily. The action is non-stop and the quality of the sound and graphics are great, which adds to the game’s atmosphere. I love how the aliens, specifically the Grunts, react to your presence. Tossing a plasma grenade on them is great fun. I also like how your military chums react to their surroundings; they are always saying something different and they do have different voices, which is a nice touch! I liked all the weapons especially the alien plasma guns. There is always plenty of opportunity to get new weapons or ammo along the way so I never have to worry so much about running out of this or that. I also adored driving and flying and found that easy to master. However, my hubby had a lot of trouble with it and wishes that it were less awkward. I have also seen comments from other players on the complications of the driving/flying mechanics. But this was not an issue for me. The replay value is quite high. I have played this game so many times that I have lost count! We pretty much play Halo when ever, as it is a good way to just pass the time. Heh =D Overall I found Halo amazing and am anxiously awaiting the sequel. It has changed my gaming attitude and now I am trying other games because of it. I highly recommend this game to anyone. Even if you haven’t tried games of this nature before that doesn’t mean you won’t like it. Give it a go, I did and now I am a Halo fan!
