Obviously one of the greatest FPS games ever made; it is the start of an over all great series.

Well, what is there to say? It's a great game! possibly the best ever. It has an excellent, smooth, and fun to play campaign. The enemies are fun to kill. The levels are not too confusing and yet are confusing enough to make you feel like your trapped behind enemy lines. The multilayer was the best of its time. The games weapons are very balanced, the vehicles are fun to use. When it comes to weaponry, you have a huge range, from pistols to automatic rifles to snipers, plasma weapons to needle weapons to human bullets. Now of course every rose has its thorns. The games AI was really bad, other games of its time had AI that would dodge bullets, walk around without getting stuck, and could DRIVE A VEHICLE! Halo Combat Evolved AI just isn't that great. Your allies can't drive vehicles, your enemies can but they almost ALWAYS run into a wall and get stuck. Your allies are just bullet sponges. Over all, this game is REALLY good.
