The sci-fi shooter genre has had some crappy games the last few years. Halo is almost 5 years old, and still one of the best FPSs on any system. This is a demonstration of how games in general should be made. As to the sci-fi genre, this game is unsurpassed in story, gameplay, and feel. It's just so awesome, it's hard to describe. Even after all these years, the graphics have held up nicely. And the gameplay mechanics still rock. And, this is one of the best party games around. LAN time!
A good part of any good shooter's story is being able to understand why you can take some much abuse and keep on truckin', and Halo pulls that off nicely. See? The sci-fi genre has its perks.
