The Best First Person Shooter of all time

User Rating: 10 | Halo (Xbox Collection) XBOX
Halo. It's name is synominous with the likes of Mario, Zelda, and Metriod these days. Maybe it's the breathtaking beauty of it's graphics. Maybe it's the insanly good campaign and multiplayer. Maybe, just maybe, the thing that helped microsoft from wannabe game maker to a legitamate game company who now has Sony scampering to fiqure out what to do. Halo, simply put is a masterpiece of epic proprtions. I'll begin with the campaign mode, which has the player starring as the Master Cheif, a type of super soldier called a spartan. You start out in the midst of a space battle on the human ship Pillar of Autum, between the humans forces and the covenent forces, who wish to wipe humanity clean of the galactic space charts. Soon, you must abandon ship on the nearest object in space, the Halo. Soon you are fighting through ten levels of enormous size and magnitude to discover the secrets of Halo. Each of these levels are jam-packed with gameplay and fun to keep you going for hours. Some have even fully-realized battles that the player can particapate in, such as the one at the end of Two Betrayles. One fault with the campaign would have to the repeating levels enviroments, which is rather dissapointing, but each level is still a much diffrent experiance than the next. The enemy AI in Halo is astounding because you will start to notice them flank, and group up on you so are outnumbered and outgunned, which makes playing through harder difficulties some much more rewarding. Then there is the multiplayer. multiplayer constists of 2-16 battling it out to the virtual death in all its hectic glory. Create nearly any gametype imaginable, and then play it. It makes for a very fun experiance. So there you have it. SImply put Halo is the standard maker for all console FPS's to come.
