This game is unique. It is probably the best first-person shooter I have ever played. This game won numerous awards such as Game of the Year, and Best Game on the Xbox, or something along those lines. This is the long awaited PC version of the game which has more multiplayer maps and weapons, such as the flamethrower and the plasma cannon. Though the the Xbox version had more of a natural feel to it, the PC version still boasts the entertaining gameplay, which may feel better with PC gamers. Though the graphics are not as great as Halo 2 and Halo 3, the storyline makes up for it completely.
The planet Reach has been glassed by the Covenant, the religious group of alien races, and Cpt. Keyes ship, the Pillar of Autumn is forced to jump to random coordinates to lead the Covenant away from Earth and it's colonies. They end up in unknown space and ae followed by the Covenant. They run into a Forerunner artificial planet ring which the Covenant call "Halo". The Forerunners are an extinct race which the Covenant worship as Gods. The Covenant say that Halo is a weapon, and they believe they, as followers of the Forerunners, will begin The Great Journey, to what they believe is the Divine Beyond. But Halo is not what it seems to be...Now Master Chief SPARTAN-117 and his AI companion Cortana will have to stop the Covenant from activating Halo, and stop the hellish creatures that Halo has kept dormant for so long escape the ring and wipe out all Sentient life as we know it.
I am not going to spoil it for you if you haven't played the game yet, so for you who haven't experienced Halo: Combat Evolved, GET OFF YOUR ASSES AND BUY THE GAME! Seriously, you cannot call yourself a true gamer if you have not played this revolutionary FPS. All that I have let to say is, "I can't believe Peter Jackson cancelled the Halo movie project".
