Clearly one of the best games the X-Box has ever seen.

User Rating: 9.9 | Halo (Xbox Collection) XBOX
Despite the fact that Halo: Combat Evolved or Halo 1 as most people call it, was made in 2001, it still outstrips some later games. e.g such games made in 2005. It hasn't sold approximately five million copies for absolutely no reason. Read on to see the pros and cons of Halo: Combat Evolved.

In the storyline, you play as green-armoured Master Chief Spartan 117 (the body looks a bit like the Adamant platebody on runescape), which is a cyborg "super warrior". You must fight your enemy, the Covenant. How did the Covenant go up against Earth? The Covenant ancestors said so. Despite the fact that the Spartan warriors were created, there were only just a few. They fought and died bravely and so Spartan 117 is one of their last of ther king. On the way, you meet ferocious enemies, from the weakling Jackal to the almighty Flood (funny they didn't mention the Flood in the manual). You see all things happening, from the death of your fellow Marines to the destruction of Halo. You have saved Earth (for now, if you have finished this whole game). The gameplay is awesome. Fortunately, you don't have to werstle the clumsy X-Box control in order to play. And, you do get addicted to the hype of the multiplayer. Shame they didn't have X-Box Live back in 2001. The graphics are the best from a game that was made in 2001. It still outstrips the graphics of some later games e.g Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. And you know what? This game was planned during the late 1990's! That's phenomenal. Great graphics from the 1990's. The Warthog looks real. The weapons look real. Everything looks realistic, except for the Flood of course. They look like light-brown bubbles. The audio is great. The theme song is catchy, but, just one downside. There's no music in the multiplayer hype. It's all silent except for the quiet "whoosh" of the Warthog and the explosion of a shell from a Rocket launcher. When you play one-player and the music comes on, it really suits the scene, e.g when you're fighting someone on a Banshee, the theme song comes on, which suits it. My friend thinks the theme song is chilling and a bit catchy. The Replay value is not all that good. You could beat all levels on Easy, Normal, Heroic and Legendary, but that would take too long. The multiplayer is unfortunately, not connected to X-Box Live. Overall, I recommend this game to anybody who likes action. The price should be fairly low these days, with the release of the new X-Box 360 games.
