If you were a fan of the series BEFORE Halo 3, you WILL enjoy Halo Reach.

Essentially, up until Halo 3 Halo 1 & 2 were all I ever considered playing. Besides of course a select few games. Then Halo 3 came out and as usual, I was very excited and very pleased when it received great reviews. As usual I bought it the day it came out and as usual I start with the campaign before I move onto multiplayer. Long story short, neither campaign nor multi did anything for me and I moved onto other games such as MW2 which still keep me active in the Xbox 360 scene and gaming. Yet, those games miss something, something which Halo 1 & 2 brought. Finally, Reach came out but when I heard of it's news I wasn't all that excited because of the let down for me from Halo 3. The day came(aka the other day) and as usual sticking to my past I bought it the day it came out. First thing I noticed was the changed scenario, and yes SAME story, but different in it's own way. Halo Reach campaign wise brings about a new edge. The characters do in fact grow on you and they have depth. The character you play as(Noble 6) is one you come to enjoy but I'm happy to say he doesn't replace Master Chief, but he's VERY suitable for this game. The story line is fast paced but it's not OVER THE TOP ACTION like Halo 3 was. It's a nice blend of enjoying the surroundings followed by decisive action and there is much teamwork involved. It has it's glitchiness here and there, but all in all the game is very smooth. It starts great, has a very good developing story, and though disappointed at the initial end, if you stick around after the credits it ends on the perfect note. Also, a BIG plus for me, the fast paced environment that you saw in Halo 2 is back and really gives gamers a bang for their buck. Especially when it comes to multiplayer, in essence, the fun loving somewhat frustrating(in good means) mutliplayer is back along with new additions such as Firefight which is a complete joy. I don't see myself ending my MW2 playing, but it's nice to be back in the Halo world in a non-sluggish horribly mapped game like Halo 3. As a former Halo lover, I'm glad to be back with a game that brings the all out fun of Halo 2.
