Bungie's last installment for the Halo series is definitely one they should be proud of.

The campaign of Reach is set before combat evolved. You play as Noble 6, newest member of Noble Team apart of the ongoing war against the covenant. The campaign is a little on the short side taking around six hours to complete on normal difficulty. In my own personal opinion, Reach has the best campaign since Combat Evolved. The visuals are not the best out there but there do a good enough job to represent the Halo universe. The voice acting is once again top notch just as are the sound effects. The soundtrack is again in my opinion the best since Combat Evolved.

Reach's gameplay has also had a makeover from previous games. Your reticule blooms when you fire, reducing accuracy requiring more rhythm in shots. The health bar has also come back along with med packs. The biggest change would have to be the pre-selected load outs. You have sprint, armour lock, jet pack, active camo (which also acts as a radar jammer), hologram, drop shield (bubble shield) and evade.

The multiplayer is fun and exciting with all the load outs in play. The multiplayer system has also been altered. You gain credits from playing which you can then spend on armour parts and such just for appearance. Challenges have also been set, changing daily, allowing for extra credits. Additional game types have been added to matchmaking including an offensive/defensive, elites vs Spartans game called invasion and cooperative firefight. Along with campaign, matchmaking and firefight, forge and theater are back from Halo 3. Forge has been greatly improved for much easier use. With all these options replay value is very high. Split-screen is included of course.

Halo Reach is a great package offering an epic campaign, enriched gameplay and fun multiplayer.
