Remember the Ghosts of Reach. This is a good but bad game at the same time.

Halo Reach is the final halo title to be made by Bungie. All i can say is, that its been quite a run. Halo Reach takes place about a couple of weeks before the beginning of Halo 1. You play as Noble 6, who can be male or female and who does actually talk in the game. Noble 6 doesn't speak much he or she does enough talking to be involved the story. This is the story of the Planet of Reach being destroyed by the covenant and wiping out every single spartan except for 1. And we know who that is. The story is good and will keep you entertained.

The gameplay and level structure and design have not changed much from the previous entries in the series. This is a good yet bad thing. If you have played any halo game before then the levels are gonna be familiar. There will be warthog assault level. A level that takes place in closed hallways area. And a big battlefield level where you have to do different objectives. The space level is very brief and you only do it once. It feels like your just playing a Banshee. Which is disappointing cause a change like this would have spiced things up for the series. The new guns are hit or miss in terms of design. The DMR (battle rifle replacement) fires kinda slow but is effective towards headshots. But the accuracy is not very strong for the gun, which is a terrible design for MP. The grenade launcher is not tough and bounces everywhere. The Needle Rifle is like the DMR its strong but slow.

The campaign and Firefight mode are great and will keep you playing this game for a while, but the halo games are known for amazing multiplayer. And this is where Reach falls. Right now most of the players are campers, jerks, or some weirdo that ruin your game. There only just a few playlists compared to Halo 3 and most of them are not specific about the modes. If you want to play normal Team Slayer mode, well too bad. Bungie says you need to play hardcore or with only 1 DMR. This is annoying because that means if you want to play a certain mode, you wont be able to. The maps have been designed with these little corners or rooms that make it camper friendly. The maps are either small maps with little to no cover or huge maps that cover a lot of ground which would make kills rare for you.

On paper the MP sounds like its a great idea but the execution didn't work. With a terrible community and maps that are camper friendly and no real freedom to choose what modes you want to play, Halo Reach's MP does not deliver and i recommend you stick with Halo 3 MP. The campaign is great and has high re-play value and Firefight with its customizing modes add even more hours, but the MP is major fail. Good game but weakest game in the Halo series.
