Campaign lacks climax

Most of the things considered in the official review of Gamespot has been very agreeable. However, I also find that the campaign lacked a sense of climactic ending. We all knew how it was going to end, but when it came to completing the last important mission relative to the future of the Halo universe, you weren't being pressed for time, you weren't low on ammo, you weren't trying to save your ass by dodging every possible shot thrown at you. What happened to being under pressure and ensuring the completion of the mission?

I hate to include a spoiler in this, so I won't. But the fact is, Halo 1 had the best ending mission, Halo 2... I'll forgive, Halo 3 was a nod to the first but with a bigger and better ending (so I loved it, fun is key).

The fact remains, the ending mission, where all things count, where you're trying to ensure the Pillar of Autumn gets to where it should, etc, should have been huge. The after credits part of the campaign was sad, but completely justifiable and right. I suppose there couldn't have been a better ending to Noble Team. However, I still have to say that Bungie needs to look into how they make their last important missions.

Other than this one (IMO) major flaw to a game and story, I applaud Bungie's work and hope for the best, for both gamers and developers alike.

P.S. Kotick better not screw with Bungie.
