Bungie...This is not what i expected as your "definitive" Halo game.

First of all the game has a lot of potential. Campaign is amazing and in my opinion the best in a Halo game. Firefight is a great addition and it works almost perfectly in this game. My issue is why do game developers always have to be rediculously ambitios with new games to where it ruins what was once great. Halo Reach's competative multiplayeris the worst in the series by far. Bungie has changed far too much of what used to be good about the series. The player investment and ranks were a good idea however...the gameplay of multiplayer has become nearly unplayable and is really not worth the effort it takes to rank up. Armor abilities have a little too much impact on the balance that we all know Halo for. Grenades seem far too powerful because of the miniscule jump height and extremely sluggish run speed of past Halo's. The reticule bloom system combined with hitscan have a potential to work correctly for the game but as of now it is broken and adds too much randomness. The game rewards players who are "luckier" rather than players who pace their shots the way they were intended. Hitscan reduces realism of bullet travel and makes it so that whoever spots the enemy first in a confrontation will almost always be the winner. This game's multiplayer could potentially be the best in the Halo series, but as of now the number of players cannot surpass 300,000 at one time...and with good reason.
