Shooter Heaven, puts COD to shame!

User Rating: 9.5 | Halo: Reach X360
I have been a gamer for years now, PC, N64, PS2, PS3 have been my venue path and I had avoided the X box due to issues with the heatsink & storage platform. Subsequently, I was on the outside looking in when I would hear my friends talk about Halo. Well, Xbox remedied both issues and I finally ventured forth on Black Friday and purchased the 360-250G console and finally got to enter the realm of Halo. First it was 3, then Reach in a Thanksgiving Weekend shoot-a-thon.

I am awestruck. The game play, the storyline, the graphics, the diversity of weapons & vehicles, the control, it was all top notch. The graphics especially.

I have based my standard of current era console games on God of War, Battlefield & Drakes Fortune, and folks, I have found a new standard to judge shooter/action addventure games by.

If anyones tastes follow mine, then I would purchase this game, and those of you that may not have a box, find a friend with one and try the game, you'll probably go out and buy the X box, just to play it.

I have only ventured forth a few games on-line, but enjoyed them except the last one where all of my team quit and I was cannon fodder for four other gamers, but wanted my points so I died as graciously as possible. I find the Multiplayer world a bit hard to navigate or understand, and the possibilities seem very limited to others sites like COD, BBC & MOH, but maybe it is just me and figuring out the the new platform versus what I am used to.

Without going technical, this game rocks and was well worth the black Friday sale price I paid for it, I will now venture forth and attempt Heroic & Legendary levels and try to figure out the multiplayer to a point of better satisfaction, but if you never go online, the campaign is worth it and has massive replay value.
