Great multiplayer, great new features, not so epic story...

The Halo franchise for me has always been packed with hours of fun since the moment I played it. However, Halo reach despite its award winning multiplayer and it new weapons and abilities it seems to lack the "epicness" that previous Halos possessed.

Before I get to the bad, I'm going to start with some good points. Me being a bit of a geek, I was majorly impressed with the graphics with how good and detailed the grunts, brutes and scenery etc looked. It was amazing, but the fact the graphics were good was no surprise to me. My next point is the multiplayer. There's nothing more fun than beating your friend online. Plus with the new abilities, it makes it even more fun and with the range of game modes, there so many ways to do it with common Slayer and CTF game types to fire fight, (a survival game type) and the legendary forge, (where you can make you own maps and game types). I also quite like the idea of the armory. I always do enjoy doing something to achieve something. In my opinion this is best halo multiplayer yet.

So let me get to my real issue. The story, as I spent my time playing a decent campaign, it came across to me what really made Halo 3 better for me....the "epiceness." Let me explain, yes the story of Halo reach was very dramatic no doubt, however nothing seem to jump out at me and nothing seem to make you feel/act superhuman (because after all that's what a Spartan is...right?) and there are also new Easter eggs and nothing to me was generally that epic it also seem to be a bit too familiar. To be honest I think this being Bungies final Halo, they played it safe and as a result made a good game that everybody's played before.
