In the lands of consoles, RTS games have always been the awkward step-child. Halo Wars proves that it's possible to make a good RTS on a console, but still doesn't live up to the quality PC's can give the genre. The game is fun and will provide a few hours of entertainment, but unless you have a great love of the Halo universe, you'll probably be finished with the game after a short while. The campaign is fun and provides a somewhat challenging experience, but it will be over before you can say "Look Mommy, a Warthog!" The online can get somewhat annoying, but that is a problem many RTS's have and seems hard to address. Nonetheless, online seems to be a repetitive experience of Warthog rush after Warthog rush. This game will bring some fun, but if you aren't an avid-RTS player, it might be in your best interest to rent this one.
