A work of art. I've played through all of the Halo games multiple times, and none of them are closer to a masterpiece than this one. Halo Wars really went out on a limb with new characters, new story, and new gameplay. Although the campaign is rather short, I enjoyed every second of it. The levels were varied and enjoyable and the cinematics were beautiful and immersive. True, the multiplayer aspect didn't have a lot to offer, especially compared to the other games in the series, but the concept, execution, story, and campaign more than make up for it. It isn't a particularly deep rts, but the familiar units and engaging gameplay made sure I didn't notice too much. However, I was disappointed that a Covenant campaign was not included, but that's pretty much my only gripe. All in all, I loved it, still my most favorite game on Xbox 360.
