Good effort but kind of empty.

I was amazed at how much details went into making this game. For a Third-Party Remake this is really really impressive. But once you get past the surface there really isn't anything here. The game goes by really fast but for what it's worth (a free down-loadable game) it has an average length. The game play is smooth and the controls are very intuitive. The sound is amazingly good. All the effects such as the Sniper Rifle shot and the Plasma Grenades sounds exactly the same as Halo or Halo 2. The music is also translated very well. The enemies are numerous but unbelievably easy to take down. I put approximately 12 Machine-Gun Shots into one of the Hunters (i forget what the big orange spotted guys are called) and he went down wth a crash. That seems a little TOO easy to me. And the Sniper Rifle is not executed very well, giving you only a few feet extra vision. And where exactly is the shotgun? I don't know about you guys but I couldn't find it anywhere.
The inclusion of a multiplayer function really grabbed my attention. For about 2 Minutes. The levels are extremely cramped and just don't seem big enough for a bunch of gun toting crazy people to run around in.
A great effort that in my opinion could still be saved. Perhaps they will cme out with mods for this game that will allow bigger levels, more weapons, and a revamped multiplayer. If such a thing would ever come out I would be the first guy to give it a fair shake.
Great experience for everyone but a little on the empty end of the gauge.
