I think it is exactly what happened in case of Hard Reset: the developers managed to create an amazing stage for playing: gloomy urban enviroment, which I would rather use for Deus Ex..., based on well working and actually good graphic engine (great detail level, lightning, physics, well... everything), but there is no game actually: along the gameplay, the player has to shoot some weird, and excessively aggressive robots, which desing brings to mind somekind of hybrids between vacuum cleaners, toasters & ceiling fans... (if you familiar with amazon, you should be able to identify necessary items easily, so you can assemble a couple of them at home... hehehe)... well, no sense at all. All the time pulling the trigger, a couple of boss fights... silly and barely necessary upgrades.... in addition, no reload (???), no crouch... Story... is anoter painful detail: too simple, looks like "a cheap, comics-based"... I thought that this kind of games has not been produced for years... well, I was mistaken. There is nothing more to say... Disappointing. The really amazing thing, that the developing team took time to create really great game environment, but didn't take advantage of that...
