you can hardly find a virtualised version of the board gaming classic that is Backgammon. thankfully a small company that you may not heard of (Sliver creek) can help you play someone playing Hardwood Backgammon. If you expect a technical showcase, don't bother, this game looks bland and rather ugly. the sound doesn't really change, it keeps going to the same sound over and over. But for those who want good board game gameplay, Hardwood Backgammon is just the ticket. The game relys on chance and skill, like in a normal game of Backgammon. The best part of the package is Xbox live and it's the best way to play this game, provided you find a player. There is a single player, but it's just to play a computer with 3 difficulties, and playing with the computer isn't very fun. If you find a player on Xbox live, or encourage a friend on your friend's list into playing this game with you on Xbox live, Hardwood backgammon is the right choice.
